Join us for the biggest horse roundup in Skagafjörður. We ride with the locals and bring home their horses to the roundup in Laufskálarétt, Hjaltadalur.
The Laufskálarétt corral is the most popular corral in Iceland. Every year about 3,000 people come to spend the weekend in Skagafjörður and be a part of the great Laufskálarétt.
The Laufskálarétt weekend begins on Friday night with a big riding show in the riding hall Svaðastaðir in Sauðárkrókur. On Saturday the horses are brought to Laufskálarétt from the beautiful valley, Kolbeinsdalur.
This event is big here in Skagafjörður and the whole weekend is made for us who love horses so you don’t want to miss it.

Transportation
Upon arrival at Keflavík airport, it is easy to use the Flybus service to a hotel or guesthouse of your own choice in Reykjavík for the first night. If needed, we can help with booking a room before and/or after the tour.
Cancellation and refunds
- You pay 10% of the price when you book a tour and the rest is paid upon your arrival.
- You are considered to have the activity or the service delivered as soon as it begins.
- If you are not satisfied with our activity or our service you should inform us immediately and we will try to meet your request, if reasonable.
- It is the responsibility of the buyer and the group that he pays for, that they have the knowledge and physical ability, where applicable, to use the activity or the service we provide.
